Havana is the capital city of Cuba. Above all it is known for its history, architecture and culture. Havana is one of the New7Wonders cities. Additionally Old Havana is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. For these reasons it is a perfect place for Havana shore excursions and day tours.
Old Havana

Adjacent you will see some impressive architecture. Moreover you will see royal palms, ceiba trees and peacocks! Equally interesting is taking in the rich history of the city at Palacio de los Capitanes Generales. At mid-day keep hydrated and fill your belly at a local paladar. Here you will be able to dine on authentic Cuban cuisine in addition to experiencing Cuban reality.
Modern Havana
After Old Havana we recommend taking in Modern Havana. Most noteworthy are:

- El Capitolio
- Parque Central
- The University of Havana
- Plaza de la Revolución
You will see the National Library and many cultural institutions. Moreover there are memorials like that to Che Guevara. Certainly while in Modern Havana don’t forget to wet your whistle at Ernest Hermingway’s two favourite bars, La Floridita and La Bodequita del Medio!
Havana has a very rich history and culture. You’ll want to take a slice home with you! With this in mind visit one of the many markets where you will find local artisans selling souvenirs.
Once you’ve explored all Havana has to offer kick back and relax on Playas del Este. Soak up the sunshine on the warm sand and admire the palm trees. Above all take a dip in the gorgeous Caribbean water.
